🎭 Synopsis

Landline Short Film (2018); In 2010, a chaplain from Cheshire set up the UK’s only helpline for gay farmers 📞🚜. Through a series of recorded telephone conversations and reconstructive visuals, the film journeys into the world of the people who called.

Stories include a farmer’s discovery of Grindr, a bittersweet recollection of first love, and a harrowing tale of attempted suicide 💔. In a world that prizes traditional masculinity and where ancestry and inheritance are crucial, the film reveals the isolation and resilience of LGBTQ people in the British farming community 🌾🏳️‍🌈
